Privacy and fair play

Settler City uses fair-play controls to protect ranked ratings and the leaderboard from coordinated multi-account play.

For this purpose we process a server-issued device identifier, a shortened network prefix, browser and device characteristics, and relevant ranked-game outcomes. The browser characteristics can include browser version, screen characteristics, language, time zone, and Canvas, WebGL, and audio rendering values.

These values are converted to keyed hashes before storage. We do not retain the raw fingerprint values or raw IP address in the fair-play system. Fair-play evidence and review records are retained for up to 180 days.

Fair-play checks may mark a game as practice, meaning it does not affect rating or leaderboard position. Administrators can review account-pair decisions. Contact the site administrator through the official community channel for privacy or review questions.
